Invisalign

  • Invisalign is a market leader in clear invisible braces (aligners) using cutting-edge technology to shape smiles with precision. Your entire Invisalign journey is mapped to show you what your new smile will look like before treatment even begins. Aligners are custom made using state of the art 3D printing technology to fit comfortably around the gums and teeth. They gently and gradually shift teeth into the correct position and are virtually invisible. They are removable which can help to maintain and support good levels of oral hygiene during treatment. Depending on how complex your bite is, results can be seen in as little as six months.

  • Your Invisalign dentist will need to assess you in order to establish whether you are eligible for treatment.

    If you are suitable for treatment, your Invisalign dentist will take photos, x-rays and digital impressions using an Itero Scanner of your teeth. This information will be used to create a 3D model and treatment plan using Clincheck technology. Your Invisalign dentist will modify this treatment plan to achieve desired results.

    Once Invisalign have manufactured and shipped your aligners to the practice, your Invisalign dentist will demonstrate how to insert and remove them. Aligners must be worn for the recommended 22 hours per day and can be removed to eat drink and brush teeth. You will be required to change the aligners at home after a specified interval, usually every one to two weeks and attend monitoring appointments every six to eight weeks.

    After treatment is complete, your Invisalign dentist will provide you with a set of Vivera retainers to maintain your new smile.

Based on these scans, a series of custom aligners is created to guide your teeth gradually into the correct position. Each aligner is typically worn for 1–2 weeks before moving on to the next in the series. Regular check-ups allow your dentist to monitor progress and make adjustments if needed. Most Straights treatments are completed within 6–18 months, depending on the complexity of your case.
